Kiln dried softwood logs are locally and sustainably sourced and ready for immediate use.
The seasoning process involves outdoor air drying for up to 2 years, followed by indoor storage in large open crates in a hot air-drying system. The resulting product has a moisture content which is consistently below 20%. Softwood logs burn more quickly than seasoned or kiln dried hardwood but create a quick hot flame with a high heat output for an economical burn.

Softwood logs are suitable for use in stoves and wood burners and can be used with care on open fires, but certain types of wood will spark and spit.

Please see below for load sizes (please note wood is measured by volume and due to natural variation in wood products the number of logs you receive will be dependent on the size of each individual log and how the storage crate is filled)

Bulk Bag - approx. 0.7 - 0.8 m3 (bag size 80cm x 80cm x 80cm)
Barrow Bag - bag size 90cm x 50cm x 50cm

Softwood logs are cut to a standard size of approximately 25cm/10 inches in length, but we can cut to order any size between 20cm/8 inches – 40cm/16 inches.

Bulk and barrow bags are reusable and can be collected by us when we deliver repeat orders. Help us protect the environment by returning them for re-use!
